Inspiration {Packaging}

Hello everyone, I hope you all had a lovely weekend... what did you do?

You know what it's like when you have gifts lining up waiting to be packed and sent over...? well, that's what happened to me last week... and I finally got things together last Friday and wrapped them one by one... I always put a lot of attention into my gift wrapping and packaging in general... I think it comes from the year I spent in Japan... a beautiful wrapping paper is as important as the gift inside.

I took some pictures of some of them to show you what I mean... The green and orange paper is from India and it's been done all by hand. Beautiful, isn't it? I got it in a small shop in Holland Village Shopping Center {in Singapore} and the lady has many other designs and colors in store...

The rest is from Japan of course, but you can find similar small paper {for origami} in many places here and elsewhere.

I wish you all a wonderful week!

  1. Beautifully done! I love that you made some flowers with Japanese paper. The card looks very special and lovely. I need to get one of those stamps so that we can make our own cards as it's not easy to find pretty cards here in Jakarta. Thanks for sharing the idea! The gift looks beautiful!

  2. Thank you! I bought the stamps while living in Thailand, I am sure you can find some similar one in the stationary section of the big department stores in Jakarta too ;)
    I regret not buying the numbers as well...

  3. Just lovely :)

    One of my first jobs in college was wrapping gifts at Christmas time. It was actually quite stressful - getting them done on time and not losing one :)

    You mind me of the importance of presentation. Thank you for the reminder :)

  4. Do you remember the name of the shop in Holland V.?

  5. I don't remember but i can check for you and update the post too. The shop is in Holland Village shopping center, 2nd floor and next to a video club. Papers are outside in the alley. 4$ each.
