Japanese school preps!

Hello!

Today we are going back in time and exploring a project I worked on last year around the same time. I was lucky to be asked to create a school bag set for two little ones who were starting Kindergarten last April (beginning of the school year for Japanese schools). Each child must have her "handmade" bags when she starts school following the strict guidelines given by the school.

When it comes to selecting a fabric I am usually avoiding cartoon characters and I opted for a beautiful flower print which matched well with a pale pink polka dot fabric and a mint pompom trim I wanted to use. I created the pattern according to the information received from the school, and here below is the full set. Enjoy the pictures!

Check out more pictures of the school bags I have created last year {here} and {here}.

I will start working on a new bag this week. I will share photos soon on the blog, you can expect birds, blue polka dots and pompoms!

Happy day my friends,
xo
